Picture of Tahki
The last time I wrote about Tahki, she was able to run free, well, she lost that privilege when she ran into the field and refused to come back on several commands. She now is on a lease or on her "time out" rope. As you can see in the picture, she loves just being outside under her tree. She loves to go on car rides and had a great time at my granddaughter's t-ball game watching the people. Thank you again for allowing us to bring Tahki into our home.
Picture of Buddy
Just wanted to give you an update on Cavin. The girls named him Buddy. (We need that changed for the microchip.) He is bonding well with our family. He is a smart little puppy. Since he had "sit" and "down" almost perfected, we have been working with him on "come." He is also working on ringing a bell to go outside. We took him to our vet. He received his next set of shots and a bordetella vaccine. The bordetella gave him a cold, so he is on antibiotics but has not lost any of his appetite or energy. Attached are a couple of pictures. We will send more with another update later. Thank you so much for all your help with the adoption.
Picture of Jack
Jack is doing wonderfully!! We have him enrolled in puppy classes, and he's learning all kinds of new things there, and making doggie friends in the process. He's progressing nicely on his housetraining, too. I taught him to ring a bell on our door to go out, so as soon as he realizes he doesn't have to wait for me to "suggest" going out to ring the bell, I think we'll have that issue just about wrapped up! We just love him to pieces! He enjoys being in the country, too. (We are putting our fence up in a week or two!) We have a lot of wild strawberries and raspberries growing on our land, and he loves to go out for a couple of bites before bedtime. He is a dog who believes in dessert! Jack weighs just about 39 pounds now, about typical for a lab his age.
Picture of Bailey
Here are some pictures of Bear. I have changed his name to Bailey. He is doing really well. I has been a great little boy. I am starting obeidience training next week. I hope he does well. Share the pictures. He is very sweet and cute.
Picture of Minka
Minka (nicknames including Machinka and Melinka) has been doing wonderfully in Cincinnati.  She is always full of energy and loves meeting new people and dogs that we encounter out on the street.  Her daddy and mommy (my boyfriend and I) love her very much, especially her cute little puppy face!  It's difficult to not give her everything she wants when she casts those sad eyes at us!  She's keeping up with all of her commands but we still need to work on calming her down when she meets new dogs and people.  She just gets so excited and can't control herself!  Some big dogs are even afraid of her because she tries to jump all over them!  I love that she's able to hold her own even around the big dogs though!  But she gets along great with her roommate, Charlie (the cat in the picture), and every person who comes in contact with her falls instantly in love.  Thanks, Circle Tail, for allowing us to adopt Minka!  She's brought much joy to our lives.
Picture of Zach
Here  are some pics of Zach (Sauk in your records), starting at Circle Tails...since my surgery Tues he has been very attentive! He is a natural...maybe he didn't pass the test for service dog because he was meant to be with me!  Thank you so much for choosing me for this guy!  I can't thank you enough...
Picture of Avery
Avery (formerly Mapu) is a sweet dog & has done great adjusting to our home. She loves to play and has already “desqueaked” a couple of her toys. She is participating in the Circle Tail basic obedience training & learning a lot. We just started running together and she does great. She easily runs 3 miles & it doesn’t seem to tire her out! Our boys are thrilled to have a dog! Our 8 year old sings to her and tells her what a great dog she is every morning. We’re still working on her being able to be in the same room with our cats without barking or trying to play with them – her prey drive is pretty strong. Thanks for the work that you do & for Avery. She’s a great dog for our family.
Picture of Bingo
Just a few updated photos of Bingo (Kahle?) She is absolutely wonderful and a great joy to have around. She's SO happy all the time, it wears us out. We go to Ceaser Creek State Park all the time and she and Tasha enjoy the water and playing with sticks.
Picture of Annie
Below are pictures of Annie on her 1st birthday. She has been such a blessing to our family. My son's asked me and I did not know the answer......How did Annie (Tosta) end up at Circle Tail?
Picture of Lady
We are totally loving Lady...ana Kate. She is adored by our whole family and we do not know how we lived without her!!!! Thanks again.
Picture of Rowdy
Sorry we haven't sent anything about Rowdy.  I have to say that that is the perfect name for him.  He does not quit!  He runs around like there is no tomorrow.  We have decided that he is pretty happy here.  And the best part is that he gets along so very well with his sister Allie.  She was also rescued.  She was rescued from an Amish puppy mill where we were told that she had given birth to at least three litters of puppies.  When we got her we had to keep her on a leash.  We couldn't get near her.  Now with Rowdy's help, she plays all the time.  It is so nice to think that they both have a good life now.  Rowdy has a nice yard to run around in and plenty of toys to chew on.  He loves taking rides in the car even if it is a long one.  He's learning to sit, stay and fetch.  He seems to be real good at the fetch but not real sure he wants to drop it when he gets back.  Loves to play Tug O' War with any one who will hold the other end.  All in all we are very happy with Rowdy!
Picture of Congo
Congo is doing well. She seems to be truly enjoying life right now--she loves to play with her toys, go for walks, and receive praise and treats for good behavior. Everyone who visits us comments on what a loving, friendly, well-behaved, and gentle soul she is. When Congo first came to live with me, I did contact Circle Tail with questions about some vomiting issues she was having. However, those issues have since resolved and my vet has given her a clean bill of health. Please find a picture of Congo attached to this email. I hope everyone, human and canine, at Circle Tail is doing well. Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to make a new best friend and for working on behalf of the vulnerable and innocent.
Picture of Kramer
Kramer is doing great (the only male puppy Nyx's
litter).  He has turned out to be a great dog.  He
loves to play catch with the tennis ball, chew on his
nylabones, and cuddle on the floor for some tummy
rubs.  He has so much energy and loves to play with the
neighbor dogs so we adopted a little sister for him.
They are having so much fun together.  Kramer is the
big boy, 55 lbs. now at 8 months old, standing in the
back.
Picture of Champ
Picture of Champ
Champ is doing great. He's really settled into his new home as well as hoped. He was very energetic and such when we first got him and now he's found his favorite spot on the couch and that if he lays on the spare bed in my office that he can see out the window while laying down when I'm studying. He still loves Mallory's parent's dog Bo. They get along like they're littermates that have grown up everyday together. Champ will hide rawhides under bed pillows, in covers, or in between the couch cushions and Bo will watch him do all his work and then steal it as soon as he leaves. Then they wrestle for it until Champ gets it away from him and the cycle begins until some other distraction comes around. It is so funny watching Champ move stuff around with his head while Bo just sits there as if he's laughing at Champ. Bo will look at you and then calmly back at Champ, waiting patiently to take his bone or rawhide. Champ actually caught on and he thinks it is a fun game and now waits untill Bo sees him and then goes and hides the bone. They get along so well that they actually have withdraws when we take Champ back home with us to Dayton.
Champ's such a great dog. Very well mannered and so good with people. He has shown that alpha male personality a few times and we're going to give him a rest from the dog park. He seemed to become to comfortable with the place and seemed to feel that it was his yard and other dogs needed to submit to him. He ended up in a few scuffles, one of which led us to the vet for a good bite to his ear. He was Billy Bonnet for a while but we've healed without even a scar.
We love him so much. He was exactly what we had hoped for and more. He really helped to fill the void of losing our past dog so abruptly. He also has taken to us very well and when he gets into strange situations in strange places he always sticks close to one of us. It's so cute. We really appreciate all that you all do there at Circle Tail. You certainly train some wonderful dogs and give them a chance that they so desperately need and deserve. We couldn't imagine what might have happened to our wonderful Champ if you had not taken him in. He's such a great dog and deserves all the spoilings he gets around here for everything he does for us. Keep up the great work.
Picture of Ivy
Ivy is doing great, we just love her. She fits in perfect with our family, Buck has even adjusted and seems to really enjoy having her around.
Picture of Mason
Mason (aka. Parry) is so happy. He finally overcame his fear of the water and has become such a good swimmer! We spend most weekends at the park hiking and he’s king of the neighborhood at home. He went from 52lbs to 78lbs of solid muscle! We’ve created a monster! He’s such a happy boy gives a good laugh or ten everyday!
Picture of Quenya
Quenya, renamed Lily, is doing great! She is extremely energetic and full of life. She has developed a love for stuffed animals. On walks, she loves to chase bunnies and is always ready to play. She is behaving pretty well and she will be attending puppy classes soon. There are some photos attached- she seems to have grown a lot in the last few weeks. Thanks for letting us adopt such a great puppy!
Picture of Bailey
She is doing great! We actually changed her name to Bailey now. She is close to 30lbs at about 6.5 months so she's turning into a pretty good size dog (which is what we were hoping for). She's very friendly and loves to play outside. Attached is a picture of the day we brought her home from Circle Tail and there is also a couple recent pictures of her just last week.
Picture of Adele
Adele is doing great, shes well over 40lbs now, and has just gotten done w/all of her puppy shots. She's adapted very well into my home and utterly loves everyone she meets. She's incredibly sweet, and a blast to play with. She's practically fully house broken and responds incredibly well to all of her basic commands, and is doing well in learning some more advanced commands. she still has a tendency to jump on people who've just entered my apartment, but thats just the puppy in her and we're slowly getting that tendency out of her. Otherwise shes been a fabulous addition to my home. Ive included a couple of pictures (they're a few weeks old). I can get some updated pictures if you would like.
Picture of Calliope
funny you should email us - we were going to send pictures this week.  she is doing real well. still working on "come", "wait" and telling us when she has to go out.  we love her!
Picture of Bella
Thanks for the email, Bella, aka Salisk is doing great! She is a sweet little girl and gets along great with our other dogs. Here a couple of pictures, the one on the sofa is a bit younger, the other two just taken today and yesterday, a bit up close but none the less pictures.
Picture of Tackle
I adopted Tackle at the end of May 2008 and he has been by far the best thing that has happened to me since I moved to Cincinnati. He's a 68 lb. lab mix but I still call him my little guy. There's nothing better than coming home to that sweet face and have his ears perk up like a jester because he is excited. Aside from keeping his training from Circle Tail, he has mastered a few other tricks. Everyday after work I have to kneel down in front of him so he can give me a "hug." He'll stand on his back legs and put his front ones on my shoulders so I can hug him. He gets impatient if I don't do it!! Tackle isn't one to crawl up into my lap but he needs to be close. What can I say? We both like our independence. Tackle has become a great running partner and travel buddy. He's a jet setter of the doggy world. He likes road trips and traveling to see my family back in Pennsylvania where he can play for hours with a chocolate Lab named Jake. He likes traveling so much that he started digging holes to the center of the Earth in my family's yard......however, they loved him so much they just let him play. In general he has been a great dog and has been very helpful in meeting people since strangers just want to play with him. I recommended a friend to Circle tail and the dog they adopted is one of Tackle's buddies. Thank you, Circle Tail!
Picture of Maisy
Two weeks today - I remember you said you wouldlove a check-in...our little Lab is awesome- she does seem much more Labrador than Golden which is just fine. She is adorable and doingsuperb!! Her stitches came out and she is super happy to romp with her big Sister Mocha. She is perfect with the kids and of course has learnedto beg from our little Annie. She just fit right in and is very relaxed in our home. I attached some photos for you. Thanks for all you do- we are quite happy. She gets to go camping at the end of June down to a lake in TN and I am guessing she'll go nuts with the swimming just like our older dog...we can't wait.
Picture of Bailey
We adopted her last April/May and she had the name Sechy (spelling?). She is a Newf mix, all the pups had mountain names. She is now Bailey and a wonderful dog at that. Just for the fun. We got her DNA done with BioPets lab and it came back fairly accurate. 37-74% Newf, and American Eskimo and Black Lab Retriever came in at a tie of 20-36% of the breed. She is about 75 pounds, the vet said she probably won't grow anymore, but she still has some floppy skin to grow into. We will have to wait and see.
Picture of Tibet
Tibet is doing wonderfully and he loves his new yard, and he even has his own alligator squeak toy!!! Thank you so very much for all you have done for Tibet, and for us. We could not be happier!!!

Picture of Brinkley & Bree
Thought I would pass these pictures along of our "babies" - both are doing fantastic - growing and becoming smarter everyday - and every day we love them more. They are truly bonded to us and to each other. From a distance they look so much alike that I had to get Bree and bright pink collar so I can tell them apart! Of course, when they are sitting and looking at you, it isn't hard to tell them apart. Bree has a sweet innocence about her and is so sensitive, we have to be very careful how we are with her because of it. Brinkley has the more wiser and playful face, and not afraid of anything! He trots along side Nick when he's mowng, and walks next to me when I'm using the vacuum cleaner. I was using a blower this weekend, and Brinkley wants to stick his face right in front of it. Bree, on the other hand, goes inside and goes into her crate - she does not like loud things. She can get spooked very easy, so we are extremely sensitive to that fact with her. I would like to know Brinkley's background if you know it - he is such an outgoing and smart guy - hard to imagine that someone didn't want them! Their loss is our gain!

Picture of Maya
I just wanted to touch base and give you a quick update on Maya (aka Kaiden). She is an absolute dream! Honestly!! I have never seen a dog so perfectly trained. She follows all of our commands very happily. She adores all children and is happy to meet new people. She loves going on walks and is doing really well in meeting other dogs. We do not crate her at night. At bedtime we tell her which child's bed she is sleeping in that night and she hops right up and stays until morning! Please share our appreciation with everyone at Circle Tail. Her foster parent did an incredible job in training her and we will be forever grateful for that. I am spreading the word to everyone I meet about the fabulous work that Circle Tail does in preparing and placing rescued dogs in loving homes. Thanks for all of your help in our adoption process. We are thrilled that Maya has joined our family.
Picture of Elle
Elle is soon to be 10 months old and we've had her for 7 months. It's hard to imagine what life was like without her !!! She is truly the love of our lives. She loves us unconditionally and definitely knows who her "mommy and daddy" are. We recently took a trip to Oglebay Park in West Virginia, and she loved it. They have very nice walking trails and a lot of open area for playing (on leash of course). She is so good at taking car rides as she sits on her pillow and blanket on my lap. Now she only needs a tiara (smile). Here is a picture of Elle that I entered into the Circle Tail 2010 calendar. She loves to play ball, and is very good about bringing it back and releasing it for more play. We're hoping she can be the next Cover Girl for Circle Tail's 2010 calendar. (smile) Thanks so much to Circle Tail for all that you do in finding pets their "forever home". Your organization is wonderful and I speak highly of it to anyone who asks where we got Elle from. Elle's "baby book" is filling up fast with photos, lost baby teeth, special notes about holidays with her, etc.
Picture of Clancy and Lucy
I just wanted to give you all an update on my dog Clancy, known as Dagan when I adopted him back in the fall. I couldn't be happier with him, and he's such a joy to have, I'm so grateful to have him. He loves riding in the car and going anywhere and everywhere, so he and I are out and about all the time. Clancy is best pals with my friend's dog, and we love taking them out to walk and play together. I also bring Clancy to visit my elderly parents alot, and I can't even say how much joy he has brought to them. I tell everyone I know about Circle Tail and what a great experience I had adopting Clancy! I'm attaching a few recent pictures of him having fun getting his paws wet in the park, and begging for treats with his best buddy. Thanks again to everyone there for such a wonderful dog!
Picture of Crosley and Brian
Just wanted to let you know that Crosley is settling in nicely. He went with us to his first baseball game last night and was a hit with kids and parents alike. You may get a few inquiries for one just like him!!
Picture of Kola
I can't remember life without Kola, when he came into our home, our lives, it was like he belonged, and had been there his entire life. We're still working on his separation anxiety issue, but he's getting better with every passing day, I think he's realizing that I'm not leaving him for good when I go to work. He goes everywhere with us, and loves to go for a ride. He's also been enjoying his weekly visits to the Miami Meadows Dog Park. He has made a few friends there. He has also made fast friends with my mom's Golden and they are unseparable when together. They play so hard, and then sleep right next to each other. We are still working on his jumping and hope to get him enrolled in training classes soon. He has great manners, and loves to be a part of the family. I have attached pictures for you to see how happy he is. That tongue of his is always rolling out of his mouth, a sure sign he's happy.
Picture of Weyzle
I took a new approach [with Weyzle] and it seems to be much better. I was reading about ALPHA dogs on the internet and the process seemed to work. Guess where he felt dominate we had to change our way of handling him. I hope we continue on this path....oh yes he still is not eating he had a hand full of food today, I was thinking to add some wet food to the Dog Chow if he wasn't eating tomorrow. Also did the weime get placed my friend was looking for one.
Picture of Jack
Just a note to let you know that Jack acts like he's spent his whole life with us!  He is very curious and playful, and we've just fallen completely in love with him.  My girl Tia is not having much to do with him yet, but she tolerates his antics, setting a couple of limits here and there.  He copies her and follows her around when we are outside together!
