Club of Circle Tail
Membership
ADC
of Circle Tail membership is open to
individuals with an assistance dog individually
trained to perform tasks for the benefit of the person with a disability.
Members include individuals and their dogs who assist with visual, mobility,
hearing, neurological, and psychiatric disabilities.
Members
also include people who
help train and socialize Circle Tail dogs and certified therapy dogs and
their handlers.
How
to Join
Call
or email Circle Tail and tell us that you would like to join the club. We will
include you on our list and inform you of upcoming meetings.

in joining but not sure if ADC is right for you? Contact us to arrange to
attend a club meeting and see what we’re all about.
Membership
and Event Fees
Membership Fees:
- Circle
Tail Teams (years 1-3) – free
- Circle
Tail Teams (> 3 years) - $20 unless IAADP member (must show proof
of membership), then free
- Non-Circle
Tail Teams - $25, unless IAADP member (must show proof of membership),
then $10
- Current
Circle Tail Foster Families – free
- Certified
Therapy Dog Teams - $20
Event costs for
ADC members who are not Circle Tail teams:

AKC Canine
Good Citizen Test: $2.50
-
Public Access
Test: $25 for testing at ADC event; $5 for certificate/ID card if
passing score
Who
Can Attend ADC of CT meetings?
-
Assistance
Dog Teams who have completed an ADC of CT Membership Form or renewal
form and submitted
appropriate membership fees (a driver or assistant can accompany the team if needed)

Active
Circle Tail foster families (includes family members directly involved
in the training and care of the dog)

Therapy
Dogs International or Delta Society Certified Therapy Dogs OR therapy
dogs actively working with another Circle Tail therapy dog team
Rules
of Conduct
In
order to provide a safe and relaxed environment for members to
meet and share ideas, assistance dog and therapy dog teams shall adhere to
the the following rules:

All
dogs must be clean and well groomed

Inappropriate
sniffing or soliciting of attention of dogs/people; team will be excused
from the meeting

All
dogs must exhibit appropriate public access behaviors

All
dogs must be under physical control of their partner at all times
-
Barking,
growling, lunging, putting up hackles, snapping: team will be asked to
leave

Personal
pets are not permitted to any ADC function
