Assistance Dog Club of Circle Tail Recent Events and News The Assistance Dog Club had their August meeting at the Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky Airport. This is our third year for the event, and once again, fun was had by ALL!! The group made quite a presence in the airport at 28 people strong!! We had 7 assistance dog teams, 6 foster families handling our service/ hearing dogs in training, and 4 others from Circle Tail providing support to the group. Delta, TSA and Comair provide 11 staff members to help us throughout the airport -- several repeat helpers from previous years and some even volunteering on their own time. The dogs and humans were socialized to a wide variety of things including crowds, moving sidewalks, getting searched, escalators, the bus to Concourse C, a Comair plane brought out early from the hanger just for us to experience! Everyone who attended had a great time and both members of Circle Tail and the Airport learned from each other as questions came out from everyone. We are already planning an ADC meeting next year to discuss Airport rules/ guidelines and how best to get flights with your assistance dog.
