Assistance Dog Club of Circle Tail 

 

The Assistance Dog Club (ADC) of Circle Tail is an organization whose members primarily are comprised of assistance dog teams and people who help train, socialize, and care for Circle Tail assistance dogs. ADC of Circle Tail also welcomes certified therapy dogs and their handlers. ADC primarily serves the Greater Cincinnati area of Ohio.

ADC of Circle Tail was formed under the umbrella of Circle Tail, Inc., a non-profit organization that trains dogs for people with disabilities other than blindness.  

Mission

ADC's mission is to enhance the relationship between persons with disabilities and their assistance dogs by providing an organized forum that encourages education, support, and idea sharing between teams, trainers, and the community.

Services

ADC of Circle Tail provides the following services and support:

  • A forum to discuss access issues, training techniques, dog health and safety concerns, and other topics of interest to the members

  • Socialization outings to locations throughout Greater Cincinnati to further improve the assistance dog team relationship and prepare assistance dogs in training

  • American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Testing for members  

  • Assistance Dogs International Public Access Testing for members

  • Community education and advocacy programs to promote assistance dog teams to the public.
